At Lamar he was Battalion Commander of the R.O.T.C. unit his senior year (the year before our class arrived at Lamar). As the obituary points out, he went on to become an Aggie through and through, joining the Corps of Cadets and graduating from Texas A & M with a Business Administration degree, followed by six years as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and many years supporting A & M in various ways.
A visitation was held from 5-7 PM today (Sunday, 6/30) at the Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson, TX. (Sorry I didn't see the obituary in time to get this note out before the visitation.) Funeral services will be heldTOMORROW (Monday, July 1) at 11 AM at the Church of the Holy Communion, 17405 Muirfield Dr. in DALLAS. Interment will be 1:30 PM TUESDAY, July 2, 2019 at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St. in HOUSTON.
