Barbara Kay Ekblad Patterson (Lamar '57) passed away December 27, 2017. At Lamar Barbara was a member of the National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, Kachina, and CSU. She was also Assistant News Editor for the Lancer, Red Cross Representative, Lab Assistant, Office Assistant, and Library Assistant. Post-Lamar she attended UT and subsequently managed a hospital gift shop for many years before retiring at age 70. A memorial service will be held for Barbara at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 111330 Louetta Road in Houston January 12, 2018.
