I'm sorry to have to report (or, rather, relay Larry Moore's report) that our Lamar '58 classmate Simeon ("Sim") Wade died October 3, 2017 at home in Oxnard, CA. Subsequent to Larry's discovery of the New York Times obituary for Sim (which focused on Sim's influence on French philosopher Michel Foucault), Sim's brother David provided the Class of 1958 with a much more comprehensive account of Simeon's life as professor, philosopher, medical historian, art historian, art gallery operator, psychiatric R.N. and R.N. supervisor, early adopter of digital medical records, and (in retirement) amateur but intense pianist. See Sim's entry in the In Memoriam section of this website for the full obituary. And please send any memories of Sim you would like to share with your '58 classmates to me at rjhabq@gmail.com.
